IT Infrastructure & Network Support Services

Cornerstone IT offers many a-la-carte IT support services. These services can be requested for specific projects or may be added to a contracted service offering.

Our technical staff has the ability to design and implement data communications for most all enterprise needs. This service provides options including simple web connections to more comprehensive Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions, dedicated line solutions, and bandwidth provisioning.

We survey each client’s specific needs before exploring various hardware components and carrier constraints to present a highly reliable network. Our staff will purchase and install components, install monitoring capability and test the network to insure it meets the customer's performance standard.

OS Support Services

We offer the complete technical support resources required to support the operation system utilized on the customer’s server. We initiate service calls to operating system vendors, log problems using our problem management system and monitor the problem through resolution.

This service includes installing necessary cumulative maintenance, tape rotation, applying emergency fixes or installing version and release upgrades for the operating system software.

Event Scheduling

This service enables the customer to specify events or tasks that are to be performed at specific time intervals. We initiate the tasks and monitor their completion. We also have the ability to execute a series of events where we verify that intermediate results have been obtained before the next in the series is started.

Common events scheduling tasks include production processing control or job scheduling including daily weekly and monthly backups.

Managed Backups

We offer complete data backup services including daily, weekly and monthly backups. These services are provided according to the customer's specified plan, including unique labeling and storage requirements.

After a backup task is completed, we verify that the system has been restarted and is operational. Cornerstone IT can provide complete system recovery as needed.

Firewall Management

Firewall management services provide the customer with one source for design, installation and ongoing management. Our technical staff designs the firewall system to meet the customer's unique environment. We offer to monitor and maintain the ongoing use of the system with upgrades and maintenance for the software, hardware and network components.

We offer a variety of firewall solutions. We can also provide 'fully managed' dedicated firewall solutions, and appliance firewalls. Additionally, we offer integrated high-availability, VPN and load-balanced solutions.

Performance Tuning + Capacity Planning

Our technical staff examines historical system data including CPU usage, memory usage and data storage trends to evaluate present and future system performance. We offer suggestions for parameter settings to achieve optimal performance with the present system resources.

Additionally, based on our trend analysis, we recommend when and what specific system resource upgrades will be required to meet predicted future processing requirements.
