Microsoft recently announced that it will add a new feature to PowerPoint in January 2019, which will create live captions and subtitles for presenters in real-time by using voice recognition powered by AI (artificial intelligence).
Microsoft hopes this new feature will help speakers create more inclusive presentations.
According to Microsoft, at launch, live captions and subtitles will support 12 spoken languages and display on-screen captions or subtitles in one of 60+ languages. This new feature will have several custom options, including the ability to translate the presenter’s speech into a different language as subtitles in real-time!
